Happy new year, loves! Yes, it’s still January, so we can still say “new year”, right? January has been extremely restful so far. I’ve basically forced myself to rest, because come mid february, I’m going to be running around like a crazy flower lady until…well, the end of wedding season (July).  The Good Wife has seriously helped with making me rest, as I successfully binge-watched 6 seasons in less than 25 days. Go me!

I’m happy to be linking up with Kiki for The Circle. This month we are sharing our goals and inspirations in moodboard form. I’m an entire week late on linking up, but I know Kiki still loves me.

FLOWERS | I have a few flower goals for this year. One of them is to attend a workshop later this year to refine my techniques and to meet some lovely flower people. It’s a huge financial commitment, so I’ve got to find the right one at the right time.

TRAVEL | Lamar and I finally have another travel itch, and I can’t wait to start planning. We want to explore the US, but we have so many ideas. Cali, Seattle, Texas, Key West, New England!? So many options. We are definitely going to travel to Charleston some time this year for a long weekend geteaway, but then we are dreaming of another larger trip for the fall. We will see!

REST & SEEK | Like I mentioned earlier, I’m soaking in this restful time before the first wedding season begins. Once it arrives, though, I need to make sure I continue to take time to rest my body and mind. Otherwise, I’m afraid I’ll get overwhelmed and burnt out. A few weeks ago, I shared my word of the year: Seek. I think these two go hand-in-hand. Rest and seek the Lord is something I want to make more time for this year more than anything.

FAMILY | It’s easy to go weeks, or maybe even a month or two without seeing my entire family. Even though we live very close in proximity, sometimes life just gets in the way. So I’ve started a monthly family night at my house for my immediate family to come over, have dinner, and catch up. We had our first one of the year last weekend and it was so much fun, and good for the soul. Little Killian is growing like a weed!

Some other goals/inspirations include more quality time with Lamar, cooking more, and walking more. What are your goals and inspirations for 2016? I’d love to know!
