July is such a fun month, but I can’t believe it is already here! This year is already going by so quickly, and my summer break from school definitely went by way.too.fast. School starts back up in a couple of weeks, so I’m holding on to every moment of summer while it lasts.
This is also a bittersweet Currently, because it is my last time being a Currently cohost. It’s been such a fun three years (yes, three years!) doing this with Anne, and it is by far one of my favorite projects in my 7 year blog life. As you all know, I am navigating this new floral design life, which is taking up all of my extra free time. Blogging now consists of flower photos along with the occasional recipe or lifestyle post. This spring when I was really incredibly busy, I had guilt about not being a good Currently cohost and not being able to devote enough time reading all of your amazing posts. Especially since the school year is starting back up, I decided it was time to say goodbye to that chapter. I plan on continuing to link up with Currently, which I’m excited about. So, you’ll still see me around, I just won’t be the host or the one emailing you each month. Anne has a great list of guest cohosts to keep this linkup going, and you definitely won’t be disappointed! So keep on linking up, my friends.
Whew! With all of that said, Anne and I are excited for another month of Currently. Looking forward to reading your posts this month!

toasting to one year of Gold & Bloom! Exactly one year ago, I received my official business license for Gold & Bloom. I still remember the day. I was walking through the Whole Foods produce section and I got the official email that Gold & Bloom was a legit business. I got teary-eyed and sent all of my family and close friends a celebratory text. It’s been such an exciting year. Here’s to many more!
going to paint the living room! When we moved in to our home three years ago, the walls were red! Eek. Red walls? No. Oh, and the ceiling was red, too! Who paints a ceiling red? Okay, it’s still red, y’all. So tomorrow and Friday we are painting all of the red walls (and ceiling) to a light gray color. I am so ready for a fresh and light color.
smelling homemade cream biscuits. You guys, I’ve tried other “easy” biscuit recipes and they turned out hard and flat. This recipe, though, gives you fluffy biscuits and it is the easiest recipe ever. I’ve made them twice. The first time I did an orange glaze over the top and today I made them with a vanilla glaze on top. Serve them with butter and preserves and you’ve got yourself a meal. Everyone I make these for always loves them. Plus, they make your home smell like Heaven.
wearing my hair in a bun. All day, errday. I chopped 7 inches off of my hair last month, and ever since that day I have not known what to do with it. It’s at such an awkward length right now. Plus, it’s so dang hot and humid out. So up in a bun it goes each morning! Anyone have styling suggestions for shoulder length, thin hair? I need help!
wishlisting this super fun floral wallpaper from anthro. I think it would be so fun to do an accent wall in our dining room while keeping the rest of the walls simple. Has anyone done wallpaper themselves? Is it really as hard to install as they say?
Like I mentioned before, this is my last Currently as cohost, but the linkup will go on at Anne’s blog! Anne has a lot of fun planned for you guys, so make sure you connect with her for linkup reminders and such. Next month’s Currently will go live the first Wednesday in August and the prompts are hearting, watching, exploring, creating, and eating.
We are excited to hear from you and to read what you’re Currently up to this month. Feel free to link up your post below or reply with your reponses in the comments. Don’t forget to connect with other bloggers in this linkup! Finding and connecting with other bloggers is the whole point of this linkup, afterall.
