Who is it that declared pastels are only for spring? Limiting softer tones to one season just seems wrong on so many levels. I am here to tell you that pastels are perfect for any season–especially autumn! When Sarah Lampley expressed to me her love for soft colors including ivory, blush, and dusty rose, I knew we needed to design her vow renewal florals in the prettiest pastel tones to reflect that adoration. She had assumed that those colors were reserved for springtime and that we would need to do darker florals or all white. Needless to say, she was so pleased when I told her that we could absolutely bring soft florals to October. The result is one of my very favorite floral designs to date, and I’m honored to have had the opportunity to design for such a special couple as Sarah and Lewis.

For the flowers, I chose a variety of in season blooms including several varieties of ranunculus, garden roses, stock, scabiosa, hellebore, and jasmine vine. The subtle color variation between the flowers created an effortless, autumnal, feminine feel to the designs.
